During my time working in Higher Education, students were always critical to the work that we would deliver as a careers service, recruiting hundreds of students each academic year to undertake meaningful work. I recruited my first student into the team in 2008 and I've never looked back!
As a careers team in a largely WP university, we always targeted our recruitment to students with little or no experience – helping to build confidence and aspirations. Students always added tremendous value to all initiatives the careers team developed.
In all of my work post HE, I have found ways to bring in students and graduates to help shape initiatives and contribute to client projects and briefs.
Now as Director for a small business that was set up just before the global pandemic took over the UK, we have taken on 17 students and graduates, with a further 8 student recruits in the pipeline. The value that they have added to the business is phenomenal and I could not be prouder of every single one of them - regardless of background and experience, they have come in and become part of our little TG Consulting family.
I've lost count of the number of students I have recruited to work with me and my teams over the years, but this post is to say a huge thank you to all the students and graduates that have been involved with www.tgconsultingltd.co.uk over the last 7 months - we couldn't have done it without you, and I can honestly say that I've learnt so much from each of you. Myself and the team are privileged to have been part of your career journey.
