My three year journey with TG Consulting, Lizzie Hallam – Howard

In 2021, Lizzie applied for the Marketing Executive role through the Kickstarter scheme and soon took the opportunity to work at TG Consulting for six months. Lizzie soon became our Marketing and Communications Manager, pushing herself outside of her comfort zone and leading on exciting projects. Now, three years later, Lizzie is embarking on a new adventure! Keep reading for more about Lizzie's experience at TG Consulting.

I found the Marketing Communications Executive role through the Kickstart scheme. I had been job hunting for a while, so I was slightly apprehensive at first, but the team was really supportive and welcoming.

I began with a 25-hours-per-week contract through the DWP Kickstart Scheme in May 2021. By November, I began to take on management responsibilities, and upon completion of the six-month Kickstart period, I moved to a full-time position as Marketing Communications Manager.

I have been lucky enough to have been involved in several different activities and projects. Most notably, when I first arrived in May 2021, TG Consulting were just about to launch the pilot RE:ACTION 24/7 programme. When I joined the company, marketing for this programme was my main focus. I was awarded 'Kickstarter of the Month' by the Graduate Project in September 2021 for my work on the RE:ACTION 24/7 programme, which meant a lot to me.

On the back of this, I started managing the creative marketing team and line management. From then on, I was involved in most projects in a marketing capacity, and I began project managing the RE:ACTION 24/7 programme. I have enjoyed being part of the Truth Behind the Filter book project, the Next Gen Talent Experience, and overseeing the day-to-day marketing activities.

My experience at TG Consulting has shaped me into a better, more well-rounded person on a personal level as well as a professional. I have had the opportunity to be embraced as my authentic self in the workplace and the space to grow and develop. This has been really important to my personal and professional development. I have enjoyed working with the TG team, which is a group of really lovely and talented individuals, and I'll miss being part of a team like that!
