Lizzie Hallam-Howard who works as the Marketing Communication Executive, joined TG Consulting in May 2021 as part of the Government Kickstart programme.
The aim of the Kickstart scheme is to give young people aged between 16 to 24 the chance to build their confidence and skills in the workplace and to gain experience to improve their chances of finding work in the future. TG Consulting Director Tonia Galati said: "We are passionate about providing opportunities to young people. I'm proud to say we lead by example: in the last year alone, TG Consulting has offered paid employment, to over 62 young people."
Since joining the company Lizzie has excelled bringing energy, passion and leadership into the team. Through her character and hard work, she has impacted the organisation's ability to connect with students, gain new partnerships and make a positive impact.
The judging panel, which included the Department for Work and Pensions, praised Lizzie for her success so far. Commenting " Lizzie was selected as the September winner by the panel for her talent for working with others to strike key partnerships, her leadership qualities, her willingness to take on challenges and ultimately her contribution to the company's success."
Lizzie stated TG Consulting provided a great opportunity for her to develop her skills in marketing, project management and leadership skills and she is thrilled to receive this award.
Founded in February 2020, TG Consulting is an organisation that specialises in student engagement, employability, social mobility and works with higher education providers, corporates and SMEs to break down the barriers to employment and improve social mobility. Building long-term practical solutions around the employability agenda. To date TG have provided paid employment and work experience to over 50 young people in the past year via: 42 paid internships in partnership with non-elite universities, 15 Government Kickstarter schemes, 11 Next Gen consultants.
