"I have learnt so much from sharing my story. I want to continue being a source of inspiration for others and reach as many people as possible. I have realised that being a positive influence and spreading 'glitter' was not something that I started doing in recent years but much earlier on in my life. "
"While people say it a lot in speeches and books, if you really think about it, you can quite literally change the world with one smile, one encouraging word and one moment of positivity."
"Depending on the circumstances, you remember the person that you really are and you stop allowing others to pick away at your character. My advice would certainly be to not allow someone to manipulate you into doing something that they prefer to do. Take control of your own decisions and simply be assertive. "
"My final pieces of advice would be to take hold of as many opportunities as possible because this will help dramatically to improve your confidence. Don’t feel defeated by the challenges that are presented to you. These knock-backs flourish into something more positive where you can get back up, remembering that you are a great person and are worth so much more than you know, no matter what anyone says about you. If you’re someone who is currently struggling with your own sexuality, speak to someone about it rather than holding it all in; supressing this causes a lot of mental damage. "
"Sharing my story, has allowed me to reflect on my journey and see that there were ups and downs that I have been able to overcome and that have helped me grow. I hope that this helps others to feel inspired when they feel like they cannot do something and have that self-belief and confidence in their abilities. "
“Don’t worry about failures, worry about the chances you miss when you don’t even try.” After the event I got a lot of great feedback of how people enjoyed it. In that moment I felt happy and a real sense of achievement. I smiled. I did it. You can do it too! Just remember "For others to believe in you, you have to believe in yourself”. That’s my biggest tip for anyone."
